Budung Yihé Ibi

Mother of mists, Thou blessed and wondrous being, from the beginning and before
creation Thou pervaded all of reality with Thy mystic coolness.
Then a lama or a god or some other source of agitation stirred Thee,
which created the wind and then the fire and a thickening in the waters.

The waters separated from the heavens, and the waters thickened to ore,
and dust, and sand rose to the surface to form the land in earthly steadfastness;
the warm, damp air from the surface rose, stirred into precipitation to be
spreading oceans across the world, making the nine stories and the nine rivers,

The god or lama or source created the first people from clay, the same core
for every human, but the foremother of the tribes was a mystery:
swan by day, woman by night, she wanted her wings back. Finally, she left him
as well as the first eleven tribal mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers.
