A giant's Daughter got married they say -
Bolthorn's Daughter wed Buri's son, what fate
would make the All-Father, Bor's son, the gray-
beard god who wisdom got from the cut pate
of Her brother, thus was She: Mother, Mate,
Giantess, Goddess, Daughter, Sister, Wife,
the source of the shape of all divine life.

Primordial Mother, to You we pray:
please give us wisdom, be it not too late;
give us enough wit to survive today,
fill us with wonder of the world, not weight
of its sorrows on our shoulders, O! great
Mother, give us life, fertility rife,
and inspiration to overcome strife.
